Who publishes this guide
This site is a community guide published by Gold Peach Realty, a real estate brokerage that works across North Georgia, including Canton and Cherokee County. We make it because people deciding whether to visit, or whether to live here, deserve one place with clear, dated answers about the downtown: what is on, where to eat and park, how a county seat grew around a cotton mill, and which parks along the Etowah River fit their day.
We are not the City of Canton, Cherokee County, Explore Canton or any venue we list. Those organisations run the events and set the rules we write about, and every page links to them so you can confirm anything that matters before you travel.
How we check facts
- Every date, address, rule and number is linked to the organisation behind it, whether the City of Canton, Cherokee County or Explore Canton, with the date we last looked.
- Where an organiser has not yet set this year’s date, the page says so plainly; we do not carry last year’s date forward and call it this year’s.
- Walking times in our tools are worked out as straight lines between map coordinates, so the walk from Main Street to the Etowah River parks can take longer on foot, and each figure is labelled as an estimate.
- There are no invented prices, ratings, statistics or reviews on this guide. If we cannot point to a source, the claim is left out.
- Each photograph is real and credited, licence included, on the photo and film credits page, and the home page film is edited together from those photographs with nothing generated.
