Watch the year on any listing
Many market listings online describe past seasons, and some list dates from 2024 or 2025 as if they were current. Check the year on any listing before you go. This page gives the 2026 season as the City published it and will say when 2027 is posted.
Hours, and the last-day conflict
The City’s market page and its May 30 calendar entry give 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The calendar entry for the last day, Aug. 29, showed 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. instead. We do not know which was right on the day. For next season, plan on the City’s standard hours, and arrive before noon to be safe.
Who runs it
The market is a City of Canton event, listed on the City’s own downtown pages and calendar. Brown Park belongs to City of Canton Parks & Recreation, so the City’s park rules apply there. City parks are open from dawn to dusk, and Brown Park’s playground and picnic tables are there on any day of the year, market or not.

What is sold
The City describes an open-air market of farm-fresh produce, baked goods, specialty foods and flowers. It has not published a vendor count, a rain policy or whether vendors take SNAP or EBT, so we do not guess. For any of those, write to the market at cantongafarmersmarket@cantonga.gov or follow the market’s Facebook page, which the City names as the place for the latest updates.
